Active Isolate Stretching

Advanced technique for Arkansas massage therapists with interest in sports and medical massage.

Developed 40+ years ago by Aaron L. Mattes, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is the method of assisted stretching most used by today's athletes, sports massage therapists, athletic trainers, and professionals. Active Isolated Stretching is a Myofascial athletic stretching technique that provides effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups. AIS is used to correct muscular imbalances responsible for pain, increase flexibility, improve posture, and restore lost mobility and range of motion. Active Isolated Stretching is the most in-depth stretching system currently in use in the world today.
